Binder
(noun | binders, plural | to bind, verb | bound, past-tense verb)
A garment used to flatten the chest often to decrease dysphoria or to adjust presentation. Often used by AFAB trans people as one of their first gender affirming pieces of clothing, but can be used by anyone with a chest that isn’t flat.
e.g. While all binding carries a risk, it is especially unsafe to bind with anything other than an actual binder.
