Trans+

(sintagma nominal)

A way of referring not only to the trans community, but also trans-adjacent people and others who might benefit from some of the same resources as the trans community. The term is less about who specifically is included and more about who shares experiences. The + functions in much the same way as in LGBTQIA+. It’s a shorthand to describe that something might look to be only for trans people, but could be relevant to people beyond the trans community.

e.g. The TLP strives to be a helpful resource for the entire trans+ community.
