Trans Rights

Trans Rights

(noun)

Trans Rights is a colloquial term used to represent not only actual legal rights, but also social rights and general acceptance of trans+ people. The state of legal trans rights varies widely across the globe, with some places having general support, while in other places, being transgender or even gender-non-conforming is criminalized with intense repercussions for being outed.

e.g. LaKeshia was excited to see that her doctoral advisor had a sticker proclaiming trans rights on their office door.
